  • Families with a team mindset strengthened their bonds during COVID-19 pandemic

    A key difference between families whose relationships improved during the pandemic and those whose functioning worsened was family members’ mindset that they were part of a team working for their collective benefit, according to a study led by Allen W. Barton, a professor of human development and family studies and an Extension specialist at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
