CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Arturo Sandoval concert scheduled for Friday night has been moved from the Allerton Music Barn in Monticello to the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in Urbana because of hot weather.
Sandoval - a four-time Grammy winner - will perform in the Foellinger Great Hall with members of the University of Illinois jazz faculty as part of the fifth annual Allerton Music Barn Festival.
The barn is not air-conditioned; Foellinger is.
The concert in Monticello was sold out, but the move to the larger Krannert venue means more tickets are available.
The cost is $26 for adults, $20 for students, senior citizens, or other Allerton performers.
The extra tickets will go on sale at Krannert at 7 p.m. The concert begins at 8 p.m.
All other concerts will continue as scheduled at the Allerton Music Barn.
