  • Study: Youth action research projects need thoughtful design, youths’ input

    Faculty members Jacinda Dariotis, left, and Amy Leman have extensive experience leading youth participatory action research projects that empower young people to research issues and policies of importance to them and use their findings to advocate for change. They also co-led a study that examined the structure and orchestration of these projects that was used to develop a framework for facilitators. Dariotis is the director of the Family Resiliency Center, a professor of human development and family studies, and is in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Leman is a professor in the Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications Program.
