  • Marijuana use among Illinois teens unchanged but 'cool factor' increasing, survey finds

    The number of Illinois high school seniors who think that using marijuana would make their peers perceive them as cool doubled during the past decade, according to a new report based on the 2018 Illinois Youth Survey, conducted by senior research scientist Scott Hays of the University of Illinois Center for Prevention Research and Development. The center is a unit within the School of Social Work.
