LaVerne Elizabeth Smith, 85, of Urbana, died Nov. 13 at home. She was an office manager for the university’s Counseling Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials: The Chapel of St. John the Divine, the Carle Auxiliary Guest House or Planned Parenthood.
Rita Jo Wingler, 79, of Urbana, died Nov. 19 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She worked for the university’s Bevier Hall. Memorials: the Alzheimer's Association.
