Robert J. Carr, 95, of Urbana, died Feb. 13 at the Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana. He retired from the university, where he worked as a painter. Memorials: Stone Creek Church.
Linda Kay Jenkins, 70, of Champaign, died Feb. 8. She worked in several departments at the university before she retired. Memorials: Champaign County Humane Society.
Brenda Ann Le’Noir, 67, of Urbana, died Feb. 9 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She worked for many years as a clerical worker for the university. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory in Urbana. John O. Marxmiller, 44, of Champaign, died Feb. 11 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He worked at the Telecomm CITES at the university. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2101 S. Prospect Ave., Champaign. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy, Illinois. Adlon Dohme Jorgensen Rector, 79, of Naples, Florida, died Feb. 8 in Naples. In 1977, she began work as a Panhellenic adviser and the assistant dean of students at the university. Later, she was named an educational adviser to the Interfraternity Research and Advisory Council, becoming the first adviser to work with both fraternities and sororities. Over the next 16 years, she mentored and counseled thousands of students. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. April 8 at First Presbyterian Church, 302 W. Church St., Champaign. Paul Stone, 101, died Feb. 11 at his home in Sullivan, Illinois. In 1978, he was elected to a six-year term on the University of Illinois Board of Trustees. He served as board president in 1981 and 1982. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, 503 W. Patricia Ruth Gueritey Weston, 81, of Champaign, died Feb. 11 at the Clark-Lindsey Meadowbrook Health Center in Urbana. She served 20 years on the faculty of the College of Veterinary Medicine. She was a founding member of the university’s German Choir and sang in the Oratorio Society. A requiem Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Emmanuel Memorial Episcopal Church, 208 W. University Ave., Champaign. A reception will follow.
