Advancing the University of Illinois educational mission to foster a “culture of discovery” and its commitment to innovative research and scholarship with global impact, Undergraduate Research Week, April 17-23, showcases the best of undergraduate research and creative inquiry at the University of Illinois.
Campus events include workshops on getting started in research, as well as exhibits and colloquia sponsored by departments, programs and units that highlight the best of student work. The signature event for the week, the Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 21, brings together hundreds of students from all academic disciplines to share their research through oral panels, poster presentations and performances. These students and their projects take on important issues and questions, and hold the potential to change the world for the better.
The week of events is sponsored by the Office of Admissions, the Office of the Provost, Eli Lilly, FMC Technologies, Monsanto and the Stevick Foundation. Events are organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research.
