President Tim Killeen will lead a universitywide strategic planning initiative meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. March 14 in the Deloitte Auditorium of the Business Instructional Facility. The town hall meeting will help set goals for the University of Illinois system for the next five years.
The forum will allow faculty and staff members to provide input and feedback on the initial draft of the Strategic Plan, which is available online.
“The goal continues to be a concise and highly impactful plan for the university's future to be recommended for board of trustees approval in May 2016,” Killeen said to the university system by email last month when he announced the town hall meetings on all three campuses.
For those who cannot attend, the event will be streamed live online.
For nonexempt civil service employees, participation in the town hall is an approved event. If the meeting occurs during an employee’s regular work schedule, the employee may attend without loss of pay and without having to charge a benefit (with supervisory approval).
Employees who need accommodation services for this event should contact Disability Resources and Educational Services at disability@illinois.edu.
Interim Chancellor Barb Wilson will co-host the Urbana town hall. A steering committee and faculty and staff members from across the U. of I. system are guiding the work.
