The Advance Illinois Project is replacing the FACTS legacy system with a new constituent relationship management database and related document management and business intelligence functionality.
In preparation for the launch of the new database, it will be necessary to “freeze” the FACTS database in place while the new system is installed. FACTS users should be aware of the following
- FACTS will be unavailable from 5 p.m. Nov. 10 until noon Nov. 11
- After noon Nov. 11, users will be able to log in and view entries in FACTS.
- There will be no new data imports or updates to FACTS during the freeze.
- U. of I. Foundation Online will be active during the freeze and after the database launch.
- FACTS will be completely unavailable starting at midnight Nov. 22
- The database will go live at 8 a.m. Nov. 23.
On Nov. 23, the new database system will be available for use. All data entry and business activities will take place in the database system. The project team will work to get the new system up and running and clear the transactions and updates that accumulated during the changeover as fast as possible, but patience from users will be appreciated.
The Advance Illinois Project Office will update the advancement community on any important changes. More information is online, and people can email questions to usersupport@uif.uillinois.edu.
