Armory south entrance after military professors raised money to restore a damaged flagpole that had been placed on the 100-year-old building in the 1920s. A flag hasn’t flown from the pole in decades, though that changed May 26 with a rainy rededication ceremony, which was moved inside after the flag was raised. Offering the first salute was Lt. Col. Eric Stetson, a U. of I. professor of military science. The building houses the Reserve Office Training Corps programs and an indoor running track used by U. of I. teams. Photo by L.
