The Varsity Men’s Glee Club will perform “Seven Last Words of the Unarmed,” a composition based on the last words of victims of police shootings, at a concert April 9 at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. It is the first of two concerts in the New Awakenings concert series that will address civil rights issues and promote healing. The Varsity Men’s Glee Club will perform with members of the Black Chorus and Chamber Singers, the Jupiter String Quartet and pianist Casey Robards.
