    Valley of Peace Archaeology principal investigator and U. of I. anthropology professor Lisa J. Lucero and her colleagues are engaged in a long-term exploration of the sacred Maya pools of Cara Blanca, in Central Belize. This research is conducted under the auspices of the Belize Institute of Archaeology, National Institute of Culture and History.
