  • New playwright residency program allows theatre students to work on new plays

    Illinois theatre students are presenting the first public readings of “A Darkling at Nightfall,” a new play by Mallory Raven-Ellen Backstrom, a playwright at Goodman Theatre in Chicago. Backstrom is developing the new play through the inaugural workshop of the theatre department’s Daniel J. Sullivan Playwright-in-Residence Program.
