James E. Hixon, 78, of Mahomet, Illinois, died June 2. He came to the university in 1977, where he taught until he retired from the College of Veterinary Medicine as a professor emeritus. C. Richard “Dick” Nash, 85, of Savoy, Illinois, died May 30 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. In 1961, he began working for the university in administration and business systems. Peggy F. Olsen, 65, of Savoy, Illinois, died June 2 at her home. She worked in civil service at the university.
Anna May Partenheimer, 89, of Newman, Illinois, died June 4 at the Newman Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She worked as a secretary at the university.
Margaret L. Puckette, 89, died June 5 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. She worked at the university as an administrative secretary for more than 30 years.

Harvey J. Stapleton, 82, a resident of Longboat Key, Florida, formerly of Champaign, died May 30. He joined the faculty of the university in 1961 as an assistant professor of physics. Gerald Paul Wirtz, 79, died May 31 in Phoenix. He was a professor of ceramic engineering at the university for 25 years.
