Organizers of Academy High, a new independent high school – possibly in Research Park – will share details with prospective parents and students at two meetings May 18 in the Illinois Ballroom at the I Hotel and Conference center, 1900 S. First St., Champaign. The meetings will be at noon and 7 p.m.
This innovative learning environment will focus on academic excellence and real-world skills, inspiring students to discover and pursue their passions. The academy will engage students in cutting-edge technology, arts, service, community and athletics, and offer students workplace exploration, with internships in their areas of interest. The school promotes that “Joy, balance and integrity are cherished, and diversity embraced.”
