The committee leading an effort to update the campus master plan has announced a new website and that it will host two upcoming public forums.
According to the website, the master plan is a guide for development, renovation and repurposing of facilities and spaces on campus. The planning process will involve leadership and input from across the campus to help align the ongoing development of physical campus spaces with academic plans and programs.
The campus public forum will be held from 3-5 p.m. April 12 in Room MP-6 of the Activities and Recreation Center. A community public forum will be 6:30-8 p.m. April 14 in the ballroom of the I Hotel and Conference Center. Both forums will provide overviews of the planning process and ask for ideas on the future of the Urbana campus.
The new interactive website is designed to offer information on the process and allow visitors to provide feedback to questions, post comments and photos or sign up for project updates. The website’s timeline section shares information about public forums, and the Idea Wall invites written comments.
