The Moms Association values the opportunity to honor pivotal leaders and to celebrate the achievements of all women affiliated with the U. of I. The association will honor the 2016 Medallion of Honor recipient at the Moms Association Annual Meeting during Moms Weekend, April 8-10.
The bronze Medallion of Honor was created in 1966 to pay tribute to people who, by example and service, used their talents to enrich the lives of others.
Since 1977, this award has been bestowed upon a woman affiliated with the U. of I. It’s the most prestigious award presented by the Moms Association at the U. of I. The award will be presented to the nominee whose contributions most reflect the standards established by the association.
Everyone is invited to submit nominations of women of current or past affiliation with the U. of I. who, through example or service, have used their talents to enrich the lives of others.
Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Feb. 26. A valid nomination must include the nominee’s biographical information and two letters of support. All documents must be submitted through the online nomination form.
