The deadline is nearing for the annual Chancellor’s Distinguished Staff Award. This program is designed to recognize outstanding contributions to the U. of I. by members of the staff.
Any member of the campus community — faculty, staff or student — may make nominations. Nomination materials and a program description may be obtained at the reception desk for Staff Human Resources at 52 E. Gregory Drive, Champaign, or by calling 333-3101. Nomination papers are due by 5 p.m. Dec. 11. More information is online.
Up to eight support staff members will be honored this year with a plaque of appreciation, a $2,000 award and a recognition dinner in April. A permanent plaque in the Staff Human Resources Office commemorates recipients for each year.
This program provides an opportunity for everyone to show appreciation to those individuals whose service has been exceptional. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the nomination process for what has been a genuinely meaningful and appreciated recognition program.
