KoFusion will open its doors in the Illini Union food court in late January, following the return of students from winter break. It will occupy the space next to Sbarro. This will be KoFusion’s third Champaign-Urbana location.
A student survey conducted every year for the last three years indicated that KoFusion was one of the top desired Asian options for dining in the Illini Union. The menu for KoFusion will offer popular, familiar and convenient sushi and entrée selections that the restaurant is known for.
“We are very enthusiastic about this partnership, as it fills a void identified by our students for local, fresh and healthy Asian dining,” said Lori Holmes, manager of vendor contracts. “KoFusion utilizes only the highest quality of ingredients in an appetizing, creative and visually stunning way. Their practice of providing traditional Asian food with a flavorful twist illustrates the Illini Union’s ongoing commitment to providing customer-focused services to our students.”
Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
