Nominations are being accepted for the Chancellor’s Academic Professional Excellence Award program, which is designed to recognize the important contributions made by academic professionals at the U. of I.
Six awards are given annually and nominees are judged on work, personal and professional contributions. Each winner will receive a $2,000 cash award and a one-time $1,000 permanent salary increase. In addition, in the next fiscal year, each winner’s departmental budget will receive a one-time award of $1,000 for materials or training for use by the award winner.
Any member of the campus community may nominate an academic professional for this award. More information on the award, including eligibility and nomination procedures, can be found at the Academic Human Resources website. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 30.
