CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Lalo Ponce of St. Charles, Ill., has been elected president of the Dads Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for 2008-2009.
The election was held during the annual meeting of the association Nov. 1 during Dads Weekend on campus.

The Dads Association, founded in 1923, is believed to be one of the nation's longest-serving parent organizations. It supports programs, services and activities that promote the health, safety and well-being of the university community and serves as the parent liaison to campus.
