CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Judy Erwin, the executive director of the Illinois Board of Higher Education, will speak about the future of public education in Illinois as part of the Forum on the Future of Public Education, a seminar created by the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to address controversial and critical issues facing education and its future.
Erwin's speech, titled "Illinois' Public Agenda for Higher Education," will begin at noon on Friday (Jan. 30) in Room 242 of the College of Education, 1310 S. Sixth St., Champaign. It will address the key findings of the Illinois Board of Higher Education's "Public Agenda for College and Career Success," a master plan for state priorities, policies and resources for the education, workforce, social and economic needs of the state.
The seminar is co-sponsored by the U. of I.'s Higher Education Collaborative and the Institute of Government and Public Affairs.
