CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The 102nd Homecoming celebration at the University of Illinois will be Saturday (Oct. 20) through Oct. 27 (Saturday).
The week begins with the annual iHelp event, a volunteer project sponsored by the Student Alumni Ambassadors of the U. of I. Alumni Association, that asks students and alumni alike to donate their time to their communities. Last year, more than 2,000 volunteers donated 6,000 hours of community service during the day of service.
This year, the Office of Sustainability will hold the third annual Sustainability Week, from Monday (Oct. 22) through Oct. 26 (Friday). The theme is "Orange and Blue Go Green," and will promote ways that the campus community can learn about sustainability. The Office of Sustainability also will host a Go Green Challenge, during which participants will complete a sustainability-themed scavenger hunt.
