  • Book examines role of famous forgeries in Czech cultural revival

    Two manuscripts that played a crucial role in the Czech cultural revival turned out to be forgeries. But their contributions to Czech literature and national culture were real, says Slavic languages and literatures professor David Cooper. He writes about their role in creating a national mythology in his new book “The Czech Manuscripts: Forgery, Translation, and National Myth.”
