  • Center for Children's Books examines Newbery Medal's history, legacy

    The Newbery Medal, the most prestigious children’s literature award, is celebrating its centennial. In conjunction with the anniversary, Sara L. Schwebel, the director of the Center for Children’s Books, has co-edited a book of scholarly essays and organized a symposium to examine the award’s history, influence and future.
