Sinai Chicago is committed to supporting candidates who have recently graduated as they gain confidence and skill in their transition from the role of a student to a professional nurse. New nurses from across the patient care spectrum explore topics in leadership, professional roles, critical thinking, and patient outcomes. Participation in the year-long residency meetings is part of new graduate nurses’ regular work assignments. Expert nurses lead residency activities, emphasizing topics that integrate real-world experience with the application of evidence-based practice. The goal is to build leaders at the bedside by supporting our new graduate hires’ professional transition from a nursing student’s life to a competent professional nurse, providing high quality and compassionate care to our Sinai Chicago patients.

Eligibility
- You will automatically be enrolled if you have recently graduated or will be graduating from an accredited school of nursing and are newly licensed within the past 12 months
- No previous experience as a registered nurse
- Successful completion of NCLEX-RN prior to start date
- Full-time employment
- Illinois RN license
