CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Two executives from BP will be guest speakers April 4 (Wednesday) at the University of Illinois and will lead an interactive session about the need for clear and concise business communications. They also will talk about professional responsibility, ethics and compliance issues in a corporate environment.
Andy Milnes and Lisa Sterba will be taking part in the second “Professional Responsibility in Action” seminar, which begins at 4 p.m. in the Deloitte Auditorium of the Business Instructional Facility, 515 E. Gregory Drive, Champaign.
Milnes, who has been with BP for 24 years, is responsible for supply and trading global operations for BP Products North America. Previously, he was vice president of international refining joint ventures and involved in strategic projects in Asia.
Sterba, who has been with BP for six years, has been involved in building BP’s trading compliance program. Previously a vice president of regulatory affairs, she is responsible for ethics and compliance for integrated supply and trading for BP’s Global Oil Americas unit.
The talk is sponsored by the College of Business, the college’s Center for Professional Responsibility in Business and Society, and the Hoeft Technology & Management Program. The Hoeft program is part of the business school and the College of Engineering.
