CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Sixty-one students from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign have been honored with Dads Association Library Awards.
Chosen from among students who have completed their sophomore year, the award winners were among the top three students in their respective colleges or had maintained a 4.0 (out of a possible 4.0) grade-point average.
The winners and their colleges: (EDITORS: See list).
The association, which will honor the winners at the Dads Weekend banquet on Nov. 13, donates $45 per winner to the University of Illinois Library to purchase a book in honor of each winner.
The Dads Association, founded in 1923, is believed to be one of the nation's longest-serving parent organizations. It supports programs, services and activities that promote the health, safety and well-being of the university community and serves as the parent liaison to campus.
