Sara Pearson, a second-year veterinary student, was among the veterinary students volunteering for the “lamb watch” program in the U. of I.’s College of Veterinary Medicine. The students got to examine, vaccinate and tag the newborns. Last fall, fourth-year veterinary students used a laparoscopic procedure to artificially inseminate the ewes.
