Register for AWSome Day

Amazon will host an AWSome Day for U. of I. researchers from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 11. The event will take place in the Training Room of the Atkins Building, 1800 S. Oak St., Champaign, in the Research Park. The goal of this event is to help researchers and their staff members understand Amazon Web Services.

People can register for the event online. There is no cost to attend, but space is limited.

The AWSome Day sessions:

9:45-10:30 a.m.: Amazon Web Services Overview

10:30 a.m. – noon: Scientific Computing in Research (Common Trends)

1-2:30 p.m.: Scientific Computing in Research (Common Solutions)

2:30-4 p.m.: Use Case Demos (EC2, S3, Hadoop, Lambda)
