CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Program in Arms Control, Disarmament and International Security at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking applicants for a new scholarship program.

The scholarships, supported by an endowment honoring ACDIS’s founders and former directors, will be awarded to undergraduates engaged in an approved internship, study abroad or research program during summer or fall 2004, or spring or summer 2005. Eligibility requirements include enrollment, in good standing, at Illinois, with preference given to students with strong academic records; enrollment in or completion of a global studies course, and recommendation by an instructor; or financial-aid qualification.

The application deadline is Feb. 27.
