Homecoming court selected on academic achievement

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Twenty University of Illinois seniors were selected to serve on this year’s homecoming court (EDITORS: See list).

The weeklong celebration began Oct. 14 and ends Sunday. This year’s theme was "Make Some illiNOISE!"

The court members were selected on the basis of their academic achievement, campus leadership and community involvement. They participated in several Homecoming events during the week, including the kickoff, parade, pep rally and bonfire, as well as the half-time festivities during the football game.
