Mothers Association book awards given to honor freshmen scholars

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Mothers Association Book Awards have been given to University of Illinois freshmen who earned a 4.0 grade-point average (on a 4-point scale) during the fall semester, while taking at least 14 hours of credit.

Among those receiving book awards are (EDITORS: see list.).

The association honored the winners at a UI Moms Weekend banquet April 7 on campus and is donating $15 to each high school library for the purchase of a book in the student’s name.
