Japan House is auctioning handmade quilts online

Japan House is auctioning more than two dozen handmade quilts. The online auction is live now and continues through Nov. 8. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Kimiko Gunji Legacy Fund to support visiting artists and teachers who will share Japanese culture.

To bid, go to BiddingOwl.com and search for “Great 2015 Japan House Quilt Auction.” Those who don’t want to bid online can contact Japan House at 217-244-9934. Contact Japan House to see the quilts in person, as well.

Japan House will host a reception at 3 p.m. Nov. 8 to complete the online auction. It is a ticketed event, and tickets can be purchased by calling Japan House or online at Eventbrite.com by searching for “Japan House.” Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers.
