Mitch Dickey, Illinois Student Senate president, shares a laugh with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden during an April 23 event recognizing the student-led “It’s On Us” anti-sexual assault campaign. The initiative was started by the White House last year to help reduce the number of sexual assaults occurring nationally on college campuses. It is estimated that one in five college students is sexually assaulted during their college years.
