Brief: KCSA goes 'On the Rocks'

As the academic year winds down, the Krannert Center Student Association
(KCSA) returns with its second annual production of "On the Rocks." On
April 20 and 27, a trio of student-written, produced, acted and directed
one-act plays will be performed in Krannert Center's outdoor Amphitheatre.
All performances begin at 9 p.m., with an admission charge of $2. Rain
dates are scheduled for April 21 in the Amphitheatre, and April 28 in the
Lincoln Hall Theater. All three plays address realities of campus life.

"Blue Asia" is about a young man infatuated with a girl but too afraid to
speak to her."Queer in a Box" focuses on homophobia. Finally, in "Bells and
Whistles," the audience is taken to a gas station convenience store where
it becomes apparent how much of an effect two simple words can have.

KCSA members usher for over 300 performances annually, guide hundreds of
tours of the center, and work on crews for various Krannert Center
productions. KCSA also sponsors special events such as "No Acts Barred," a
campus open mike night at the Illini Union Courtyard Cafe; an annual
holiday tree-lighting ceremony; "Halloween Haunting"; and "A World of
Culture Under One Roof," its popular international festival.
