Frerichs awarded Office Professional of the Year award

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Illinois Administrative Professionals organization at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign presented its 30th annual Office Professional of the Year award to Marcy Frerichs, an administrative assistant in the Office of the President who was nominated by Mike Bass, special advisor to the president.

Frerichs was selected from a group of six nominees: Dimitria Johnson, School of Information Sciences; Jill Ouellette, Illinois International; David Perryn, Prairie Research Institute’s Illinois State Water Survey and Illinois Sustainable Technology Center; Cindy Smith, College of Law; and Teresa Spence, Office of the Provost, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Illinois Administrative Professionals is comprised of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign employees in certain civil service classifications. The annual award was established in 1992 to recognize outstanding administrative professionals within its membership.
