Faculty members receive Provost’s Campus Distinguished Promotion Award

Eleven faculty members were honored with the Provost’s Campus Distinguished PromotionAward for 2019.

During its annual promotion review process, the Campus Committee on Promotion and Tenure identifies scholars whose contributions have been extraordinary in terms of quality of work and overall achievement. Only two to four scholars at each level of tenured faculty promotion (associate professor and full professor) are selected to receive Campus Distinguished Promotion Awards. Each receives a discretionary fund to support their scholarly activities.

The 11 scholars receiving the 2019 award are: Grace Gao, aerospace engineering; Lisa Guntzviller, communication; Vera Mikyoung Hur, mathematics; Auinash Kalsotra, biochemistry; Heidemarie Laurent, psychology; Cecilia Leal, material sciences and engineering; Denise Loyd, business administration; Hedda Meadan‐Kaplans, special education; Supriya Prasanth, cell and developmental biology; Francois Proulx, French and Italian; and Kimani Toussaint, mechanical science and engineering.
