Engineering at Illinois seeks Faculty Entrepreneurial Fellows

The College of Engineering seeks applicants to its Faculty Entrepreneurial Fellows Program.

Selected fellows receive $50,000 in proof-of-concept funding, along with release from their teaching and committee service, to focus on bringing their work to the world by developing a specific technology innovation. In return for their release from teaching, fellows educate students about innovation and entrepreneurship. Students receive course credit.

Up to four engineering faculty members will be selected for the program this summer. Letters of intent are due May 27.

This is the second year of the program, designed to foster, value and reward faculty innovation and entrepreneurship. The first class of fellows and their students received national recognition for their work, won prestigious industry awards and gained valuable real world experience.

More information about the program and how to apply is available on the Technology Entrepreneur Center website.
