Catherine “Katie” Ruth (Hedrick) Dorsey, 62, of Penfield, Illinois, died March 21 at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She retired in 2016 after working 28 years as a library operations associate. Memorials: Empty Tomb in Champaign or the St. Lawrence Altar and Rosary Society.
William C. Widenor, 79, died Jan. 13 at his home in Champaign. He was a professor emeritus of history and former history department chair, serving from 1985-89. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Champaign, 302 W. Church St., at 2 p.m. April 2.
