George Allen Bark, 57, of Paxton, Illinois, died July 24 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Engelbrecht Farms, 275 N. 1400 East, Paxton. A celebration of life gathering will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Railside Golf Course Clubhouse, 120 W. 19th St., Gibson City, Illinois. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 28, at First Lutheran Church, 301 S. College St., Paxton. He became a faculty member at Illinois in the College of Medicine as a clinical instructor in family medicine in February 2003. He was promoted to clinical assistant professor in August 2007. Memorials: Gibson Area Hospital Foundation.

Cyrus Johnson, 81, of Champaign, died July 23 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm St., Champaign, with visitation one hour before the service. He retired from the university, where he was employed as a maintenance worker.
