Gary Lee Ashby, 78, of Urbana, died Aug. 23 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana. Military rites will be performed by the U.S. Air Force and American Legion Post No. 71 after the service. He worked at the university as an offset pressman, retiring after 23 years.
