Bernadine Carter, 93, of Danville, Illinois, died Oct. 28 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville. She worked in various bookkeeping roles at the university.

Kathleen M. Dysart, 69, of Urbana, died Oct. 23 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. She retired from the School of Social Work at Illinois. Memorials: American Cancer Society or the School of Social Work.

Toby Yale Kahr, 85, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, died Oct. 27. He worked in human resources at the university. Memorials: Durham Rescue Mission, 507 E. Knox St., Durham, NC 27701.
