See-Wing Chiu, 64, of Urbana, died Nov. 26 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. He worked as a research programmer in computational science at the university. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the First Baptist Church of Champaign at Savoy. Burial will be at Rosemount Cemetery in Champaign. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the church. Memorials: First Baptist Church of Champaign at Savoy, 1602 Prospect at Burwash, Savoy, IL 61874.

C.E. “Gene” Hughes, 90, of Rossville, Illinois, died Nov. 22 at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center in Hoopeston, Illinois. He served on the instruction staff of the U. of I. Police Training Institute in 1963 and 1964. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials: the Rossville United Methodist Church, 116 Maple St., Rossville, IL 60963, or the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department, 2 E. South St., Danville, IL 61832.

Arthur “Art” Ramer Wyatt, 90, formerly of Champaign, died Nov. 17 in Boynton Beach, Florida. He taught accounting beginning in 1950 (moving from teaching assistant to full professor) at Illinois. He was also the assistant Illinois men’s golf coach from 1952 to 1965. After retiring from public accounting, he rejoined the university faculty for 10 years beginning in 1992.  He served on and was chairman of the university’s Athletic Board, served on the Assembly Hall Board, helped fund the Demirjian Indoor Golf Practice Facility, the Lauritsen/Wohlers Outdoor Practice Golf Facility and established the Arthur R. Wyatt Head Men’s Golf Coach endowment. He was the 2001 recipient of the Varsity “I” Award of the Year from the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.

A memorial service will also be held at noon on Jan. 13, 2018, at the Country Club of Florida, Village of Golf, Fla. Memorials: University of Illinois Foundation, men’s golf program or the department of accountancy, Gies School of Business, 1305 W. Green St., Urbana, IL 61801.

Robert Scott Zeiders, 77, of Savoy, Illinois, died Nov. 24 at his home. He served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine and head of the section of rheumatology at the university. The Class of 1987 presented him with the Golden Apple for excellence in teaching. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Champaign. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Morgan Memorial Home. Memorials: Arthritis Foundation.
