Annie “Anne” Laura Eckerty, 95, of Paxton, Illinois, formerly of Urbana, died June 18 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living. She was an administrative assistant in the department of health and safety administration at the university. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, June 21, at Knapp-Miller Funeral Home, Paxton. Memorials: Covenant Church of Paxton.

Peter G. Martens, 79, of Champaign, died June 16 at his home. He retired in 2002 with 32 years of service for the university as a building supervisor at the Illini Union. Memorials: ALS Association, 1275 K St. NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC, 20005, or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090.
