Deaths

Charles M. Brown, 90, formerly of Urbana, died June 1 in Spring Arbor, Michigan. He joined the university faculty in 1953 as a professor of agronomy, retiring in 1993. Visitation will be Friday, June 8, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy, Illinois, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service at 1 p.m. Memorials: First United Methodist Churchin Urbana or Spring Arbor University

Norman C. Maske, 76, of Champaign, formerly of Brooklyn, Iowa, died June 1 at Palm Terrace of Mattoon, Illinois. He was an accountant at the university, retiring in 2014. Memorials: Alzheimer’s Association.

Terry D. Moore, 77, died March 17 in Buffalo, New York. As the first publicity director of the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts at Illinois, he coordinated the grand opening. A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Sangamon Valley Christian Center in Mahomet, Illinois.

Eris E. Ponsler, 94, of Ventura, California., formerly of Savoy, Illinois, and Mansfield, Illinois, died May 26 at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. She was a secretary in the department of physiology at Illinois, retiring in 1982.

Ruth E. Shull, 93, of Savoy, Illinois, died June 2 at Willowbrook of Savoy. She was an accountant in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at Illinois. Memorials: Paxton Evangelical Covenant Church
