William Curtis Blaylock, 85, died Nov. 19 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. He taught in the department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese at the university for more than 35 years.

Barbara Clarke Swain, 89, of Champaign, died Nov. 24 at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville, Kentucky. She retired as head librarian for the home economics library at Illinois.
