Deaths

Edward E. Durbin, 87, of Savoy, Illinois, died Dec. 21 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. He was a supervisor in the housing division at the university. Memorial contributions may be made to Quest Church: A Community of Grace in Urbana.

Doris Patricia “Pat” Foster, 83, of White Heath, Illinois, died Dec. 22 at her home. She retired from the university.

Judy Kurlakowsky, 73, died Dec. 24 at her home in Ocala, Florida. She worked for the university’s athletic department. Memorials: St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library, St. Joseph, Illinois.

Marjorie E. Nelson, 89, of Urbana, died Dec. 30 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Her first job out of college was as a secretary for the university.Memorials: Champaign County Humane Society, 1911 E. Main St., Urbana, IL 61802.

Frances Joann Pierce, 85, of Peoria, Illinois, died Dec. 22. She retired from the department of campus parking at the university. Memorials: Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association.
