Deaths

Danny L. Elam, 86, of Champaign, died Jan. 7 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He worked as an office administrator in the physics, chemistry and rehabilitation departments at the university. Memorials:American Heart Association.

Randall Joseph Lutz, 56, of St. Joseph, Illinois, died Jan. 3 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He worked as an electrician for the university for 20 years. Memorials: American Cancer Society.

Glenn Gregory Simpson, 67, died Dec. 29 at his home in Champaign. He was a building service worker for the university for 30 years. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.

Kent Thompson, 76, of Urbana, died Dec. 22 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He retired after 30 years of service as a building service worker for the university. Memorials: Alzheimer’s Association.
