Deaths

Wanda Elliott, 88, of Mahomet, Illinois, died Jan. 27 at Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, Illinois. She retired from the university after working at the Bioacoustics Research Lab for more than 20 years. There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Blair-Owens Funeral Home, 102 E. Dunbar St., Mahomet. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials: Animals Without Owners Fund.

Norma Yvonne (Creekmur) Jackson, 84, of West Salem, Ohio, died Jan. 23 at Brunswick Pointe nursing facility in Brunswick, Ohio. She retired from the university’s department of agriculture. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Urbana.
